ALA, Ingeniería y Obras, S.L. (the name translates as ALA, Engineering and Works, Inc.) was created in 1982 based on the management team’s years of experience in industrial installations, especially in the glass sector. The company is an evolution of ALA, Calderería y Montaje, S.A. (ALA, Furnace and Assembly, Inc.), a name that was soon felt to impose limitations on the growing experience and capabilities of the company.

Over more than 25 years, the growth of services envisioned by the new name has become a reality. By continuously building upon a team of highly qualified professionals, investing in technology and capital, and forging relationships with prominent specialty companies, ALA expanded the scope of services to include the turnkey construction of new plants, large industrial repairs and maintenance services, and the installation of key works and complex infrastructure in sectors as diverse as Glassmaking, Calcium Carbonate and Cement Works, Petroleum and Chemical Industry, Construction Industry, Environmental Management, Quarries and Mining, Electric Cogeneration, and Printing, with the skills to take on an even broader range of industrial manufacturing needs.
